The Exterior Cleaning Industry Association is a non-profit organisation that is committed to training its members in Best Practice to the highest standards in water conservation, environmental awareness, Health and Safety and outstanding business ethics. This is done by ensuring all exterior cleaning businesses and operators have the opportunity to be trained through a network of various skillsets that are already in the Industry by involving all members with a desire to educate and to learn from the experience of others. ECIA trained operators raise the level of professionalism in the industry while also adding value to the work done for their customers by constantly evolving with new processes and technology.
Sustainability and Environmental
We are leaders in ensuring that sustainable practices and environmental issues that affect our industry are handled effectively. Certified operators will learn best practices for sustainable water efficient cleaning, restoration, water reclamation, environmental issues, PPE, chemical composition and more. Our members will be kept up to date with the latest developments in our industry. Certified operators will do things faster, more efficiently and with better results.
Process and Best practice compliance
ECIA members have standardised a process of best practice Being trained and certified in your field of exterior cleaning provides you with a competitive advantage. Smart consumers research through the internet and other sources to find reputable and highly trained contractors that will protect their property and save them valuable time.
ECIA has set agreed standards so that our customers can be assured that members are operating to an agreed standard of compliance. All members are required to carry public liability insurance and have a current Health and Safety Policy and be aware of all relevant regulations applying to our industry and business in general. We provide our members with all the skills to keep all customers satisfied in compliance with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
Health and safety
The ECIA is at the forefront of making sure its members are well educated and versed in the regulations that govern the contractor industry. As an ECIA member your staff will need to have appropriate certification and third party accreditation. We can assist you with getting all your health and safety documents up to a high level.
